Overview

Develop and conduct safety trainings and compliance audits to support local companies efforts to create safe, compliant work environments.  Assist clients to assess, address and communicate safe challenges in their work place.  Plan and implement strategies to support, attract retain clients. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct practical safety training and inspections for employees and customers.
  • Collect, develop and deliver instructional materials in order to meet the requirements of TSG’s customer base and organization.
  • Evaluate the impact of employee training and the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Examine the existing condition of the client and formulate changes or policies necessary for improvement, compliance and growth (i.e. plant walkthroughs / mock OSHA inspections).
  • Engage in key, productive training sessions at regular intervals to ensure that the quality of the company is maintained.
  • Schedule training, consulting sessions and programs.
  • Track, log and invoice training and consulting services.
  • Identify and select sales training resources.
  • Assist all divisions/departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in Occupational Safety, EHS or related role.
  • Two-year degree in Safety, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene or related field or commensurate experience required.
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers, product suppliers and their representatives.
  • Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, procedures, regulations, technical manuals, contracts, budgets, reports, and other compliance related materials.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Knowledge of ISNetWorld, Veriforce (PEC), and other contractor pre-qualification systems preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal relations and conflict resolution skills, in addition to, effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Other:

  • Responsible for meeting productivity and sales goals while improving the quality and efficiency of the overall operation.
  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment, occasional field work.
  • Physical requirements consist of speaking, listening, walking, sitting, and standing.
  • Work may require occasional weekend and / or evening hours and visits to customer job sites and locations.
  • Ability to travel regionally.
